There's a rumor going on that Bush struck a deal with the oil tycoons in Texas...that if he were to get rid of the competition (Iraq)...then all future oil business will come from Texas.
Over 5,000 body bags have been shipped from the US to Iraq in preparation for the ground war in Baghdad.
I only heard part of Bush's speech this morning. In a nutshell, he basically said that "we are giving medical attention to our prisoners. It is not their fault that they were dragged into the Iraqi regime and fighting for a ruthless dictator." But what about us? What are we fighting for? Isn't Bush just as much of a dictator as Sadaam? He's sending out soldiers to their death...and all for what?
Sadaam declared that Iraq will be victorious in the war...which means...there's something up his sleeve...and he's not going down in defeat that easily.
Richard is in Iraq...and the chances of him fighting in a ground war is very likely. My childhood neighbors are flying the fighter jets. My friend is stationed in Iraq to nurse the wounded.
This is all too real.
